Play Pinball online

One steel ball, two flippers, a table full of bumpers and ramps. Every hit scores, every save scores more. Building the multiplier before the ball drains is what separates a good run from a great one.

Where Pinball comes from

Pinball descends from 18th-century French bagatelle. The machines of the 1930s had no flippers at all – those arrived in 1947 with Gottlieb's Humpty Dumpty and turned a game of chance into a game of skill. That mattered: pinball was banned in New York and other cities from 1942 to 1976 precisely because it counted as gambling.

How it works

Goal

Keep the ball alive and hit bumpers, slingshots and targets for points. You get three balls.

Controls

A or ← swings the left flipper, D or → the right one. Clicking the left or right half of the table does the same. Space launches the ball and restarts after game over.

Scoring

Bumpers 100, posts 25, drop targets 250. Knock down every drop target for 2,500 extra and the multiplier climbs – up to ×5. The multiplier applies to everything.

Tables

The shop unlocks more tables. Each has its own layout: a different arch, different bumpers, different flipper spacing and its own gravity.

Getting stuck

If the ball settles somewhere, the table nudges itself.

Three tips for better results

  1. 1Trap the ball on the flipper for a moment instead of swinging straight away – then you aim instead of hope.
  2. 2The centre bumpers are both a scoring source and a trap; the ball comes back fast when it escapes.
  3. 3Never flip both at once: that is exactly when the gap in the middle is widest.
