Play Helix Drop online

A ball falls down a tower while you rotate the levels so it slips through the gaps. Dropping through several levels in a row scores a bonus – but one coloured tile ends the run instantly.

Where Helix Drop comes from

Helix Jump by Voodoo popularised the genre in 2018: a tower of levels you rotate while a ball falls through it. The distinctive part is the perspective – you do not steer the ball, you steer the world around it. Falling through several levels in a row earns a bonus but risks the whole run.

How it works

Goal

Get the ball all the way down. Clear the tower and the next stage starts – more levels, more red.

Controls

Hold the mouse and drag to spin the tower. Left/right arrows or A and D work too.

The tiles

Grey – the ball bounces off. Gap – it falls through. Red – one touch ends the run. Never land on red.

Combo

Fall through several levels without bouncing and the combo climbs: 1, 2, 3 … levels. Those points add up fast.

Tip

Keep spinning while you fall – the next gap has to be lined up before the ball gets there.

Three tips for better results

  1. 1Rotate early: the ball falls faster than the eye follows.
  2. 2Two safe levels beat five risky ones – a bonus is worthless if the run ends.
  3. 3For tight gaps, counter-rotate briefly to centre the ball.
