Where Castle Crash comes from
Rovio released Angry Birds in 2009, turning slingshot physics into a worldwide phenomenon – over three billion downloads by 2015. The core is older and comes from artillery duels such as Scorched Earth (1991): angle, power, trajectory. What was new was destructible structure: the target is not the enemies but the load-bearing parts beneath them.
How it works
Goal
Clear every goblin from a castle. Once they are gone the next one comes – more structure, fewer shots per goblin.
Shooting
Drag away from the sling and release. The dotted arc shows the flight. The further you pull, the harder it hits.
The materials
Ice – shatters almost by itself. Wood – splinters after a few hits. Stone – takes a lot, but it is heavy: when it falls, it does damage below.
The real skill
A direct hit on a goblin is rarely the best route. Knock out the load-bearing beams – the collapse kills the goblins for you, and scores extra.
Points
Destroyed material counts, each goblin counts a lot, and every shot you did not need pays a bonus at the end.
Three tips for better results
- 1Aim at load-bearing parts at the bottom, not at the goblins – they fall with the structure.
- 2Ice breaks easiest, stone needs force: match your power to the material.
- 3A high arc lands behind the wall, a flat shot knocks it down.
